Sound Bytes #3

Some music I've been enjoying since last time — l'sgo

Dave Bixby - Ode to Quetzalcoatl

Not an unfamiliar album to me; I regularly come back to this one. Especially a good listen in the fall.
I hope to one day own a copy of the 500-run self-released 1970 LP.

HEALTH - DISCO4::PART1

This — along with PART2 — is an interesting collaborative sludge, alt-metal project with artists like Xiu Xiu, Soccer Mommy, NIN, and 100 Gecs. Not a style I typically gravitate towards, but some great songs exist on these two records.

Papa M - "Whatever,Mortal"

New-to-me drone folk artist. That Dave Bixby album fits this genre as well; I can be found listening to this type of stuff often.

Duff Thompson - Shadow People II

Newer release; the second album by Duff Thompson. He's touring and coming to Minneapolis soon, I hope to go to the show. Haywire, his first album, is one I revisit often.

I've also been listening to vaporwave/ hypnagogic-pop stuff while working. Kinda silly stuff, but here's a playlist of some of my favorites.
